The opening note
Good style has never been about more. More pieces, more trends, more noise. It's about knowing exactly what works, and why. That's what aetlier is here to show you.
18 July 2026You already own what you need
The wardrobe that broke me was full. Genuinely full. Good pieces, most of them. A few excellent ones. And every morning, the same fifteen seconds of standing in front of it having absolutely no idea what to put on.
I have loved fashion since I was a teenager. I wanted to be a fashion stylist, so I asked my parents to enrol me in sewing classes, and they did. I now work in fintech, hold a personal styling certification, and have, by any reasonable measure, thought about clothes more than most people. And I still had that problem. Which told me the problem wasn't knowledge. It was system.
That's the honest origin of aetlier. Not a gap in the market. A Tuesday morning in Zürich, late for the train to Gland, because I couldn't put together a single outfit I felt confident in.
What I built and why
The app starts with your colour season and your style identity because those two things, properly understood, make almost every getting-dressed decision faster. Not because I believe in rules for their own sake. Because I've watched what happens when someone finally sees their wardrobe through the right lens. Things they've owned for years suddenly make sense. Things they kept buying stop appearing on the list.
Your vault is the second piece. Every item documented, tagged, and understood in relation to everything else. Not a digital drawer. A working wardrobe.
Anna, the stylist inside aetlier, does the daily work: outfit suggestions, styling rationale, honest answers to the questions you'd otherwise ask a very well-dressed friend. I wrote her voice myself. She is direct because vague styling advice has never helped anyone.
One thing before you start
There's probably something in your wardrobe right now that you've worn twice and dismissed, that with the right pairing would be one of your most-used pieces. aetlier will find it.
That's not a promise. It's just what happens when you finally look properly.
